- Chiefs (2-0) ↔️
Chiefs escape a nail biter versus the Bengals who looked much improved since Week 1. Chiefs defense right now isn’t as dominate as they were last season but I still have them as my top team with their explosive offense with Rice, Worthy, and sadly now hurt Pacheco. I don’t see many AFC teams that can slow down this Chiefs team right now. Falcons host the Chiefs so we should expect a shootout to occur in Atlanta. - Bills (2-0) ⬆️
Bills run game is working wonders for Josh Allen and company. PFF has the Buffalo Bills run offense graded at #1 in the league. As long as the defense can hold opponents and get after the QB they will be just fine. Speaking of getting after the QB, PFF has the Bills ranked 4th in pass rush in the NFL. Bills can get after the QB and run the ball, seems like a good recipe to win football games. - Buccaneers (2-0) ⬆️
Buccaneers walk into Detroit and get win in a close one vs the NFC championship runner ups. Buccaneers lost 5 starters and grinded out a win vs the Lions. Chris Godwin carried the Buccaneers to an impressive win with 7 catches, 117 yards and a score. Baker is playing at a high level in the league and the NFC South is becoming the best division in football. - Saints (2-0) ⬆️
Saints are playing the best football in the league right now. I didn’t respect the Saints earlier in the preseason but I am kicking myself for it now. Klint Kubiak learned a ton from Shanahan and it’s showing. PFF has the Saints as the highest graded offense and the highest graded passing offense in the NFL. Putting up a easy 91 points in only two weeks of play. Saints are red hot. - Texans (2-0) ↔️
Texans didn’t move up for me this week although it felt like the were in control of this game I was expecting more from their offense vs a really good Bears defense. Texans defense is legit however and they have two really good corners that are a top duo in the league even with their age. Texans also boast a top #3 defense in the league only allowing 254.0 yards per game. This team is could be very dangerous so watch out AFC contenders. - Lions (1-1) ⬇️
Lions offense has been less exciting than we are use to. Ben Johnson is no utilizing the run game to his advantage although the Buccaneers are a great run defending team we need to see more from one of the best running back duos in the league. Aiden Hutchinson is making a strong case for DPOY with his 5 sack performance vs the revenge game of Baker Mayfield. - Eagles (1-1) ⬇️
Eagles are still a top football team in the league. They did drop a few spots obviously to a choke job in the 4th quarter of the Monday Night Football game vs the Falcons but they still have what it takes to win games in the postseason. Kellen Moore dialing up a risky pass play on 3rd and short cost them this game. - 49ers (1-1) ⬇️
Niners still are an elite football team but the Vikings outcoached the 49ers on Sunday. Fred Warner arguably the best defensive player in the NFL kept the 49ers in that game. With one of the most insane stat lines from this season with 7 solo tackles, 1 sack, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 interception. Do not shut the door on this CMC-less team. - Packers (1-1) ⬆️
Packers whether you like it or not are a top 10 team in football. Packers came out and held a explosive Colts offensive to 3 points until the 2:00 minute warning the the 4th quarter. Packers win in a dominate fashion vs the Colts. Green Bay now they are ranked 4th in YPG at 398.5 and the Packers are the #1 rushing offense in the NFL through two weeks. Don’t forget now they lead the league in taking the ball away. - Jets (1-1) ⬆️
Jets beat a great defensive team in the Titans. Jets have something really special in Breece Hall and Braelon Allen, this duo is among the top in the league. Rodgers has some solid weapons to compliment him with a revamped offensive line. - Steelers (2-0) ⬆️
Steelers defense is about as legit as it gets. Through two weeks they are allowing only 8.0 PPG. The Steelers are doing just enough on offense with Justin Fields to win them games. Steelers have a clear lead of the division with the Ravens and Bengals falling quickly behind. Steelers also lead the league in Turnover Differential at +5. They are doing a great job of taking care of the ball and taking it away. - Cowboys (1-1) ⬇️
Cowboys looked poor vs a red hot Saints team they got slaughtered at home after a good win vs the Browns. Cowboys still need to find their rhythm but the Cowboys aren’t done yet. Cowboys rank #9th in pass yards per game at 224.0 so they have plenty of reason to be in contention for the division. Cowboys look to bounce back this week versus a win-hungry Ravens team. - Vikings (2-0) ⬆️
Vikings are better than everyone expected and they proved it against a great 49ers team. Kevin O’Connell and Brian Flores are about as legit as it gets right now. The are out-scheming one of the best coaches in the league Kyle Shanahan. Sam Darnold is playing the best ball of his career with the Vikings and the defense is flying around. Watch out for this red hot team. - Browns (1-1) ↔️
Browns have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL and are still looking for some better QB play. QB Deshaun Watson has thrown 1 TD in two games and thrown 2 interceptions. They need more out of him if they want to compete for the division. The Browns have the 6th fewest offensive yards per game with 263.5 through two weeks. - Cardinals (1-1) ⬆️
Cardinals are graded the 2nd best passing offense in the league by PFF. I believe that whole heartly through two weeks. QB Kyler Murray has entered the MVP conversation after beating a injury prone Rams team by putting up a final score of 41-10. Murray and the Cardinals look great through two weeks and they have a good chance at giving the 49ers a run for their money if they keep it up. - Ravens (0-2) ⬇️
Ravens lead the league in most offensive yards per game at 417.5 all while being 0-2. The were however a toe away from taking the Chiefs to overtime. The Ravens have had it rough the past two weeks but I wouldn’t count them out quite yet. Henry has been a solid addition and keeping the defense honest with him on the field. The loss to the Raiders cuts deep but this team should rebound back against the Cowboys. - Falcons (1-1) ⬆️
Falcons were my preseason NFC South division winner pick. Although I don’t think they will win the division now the Falcons are going to be a scary team that could make the playoffs. The win against a talented Eagles team was impressive watching QB Kirk Cousins drive down the field with under 1:38 minutes left. - Seahawks (2-0) ⬆️
Seahawks are playing good football under new Head Coach Mike MacDonald. Right now PFF has Tariq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon ranked as the #1 and the #11 corners in the NFL (*Minimum snaps 20% of 191). With that in mind they have played some poor offenses in the Broncos and the Patriots but nonetheless the Seahawks defense should be just as good as any defense in the league. Let’s see if they can add a solid win vs the Dolphins and Lions in the next couple of weeks. - Bears (1-1) ↔️
Bears defense is really good still ranked at #8 in the league in yards allowed per game at 277.0 and only the 6th fewest first downs in the league. The offensive line is very poor and needs a complete rebuild but the defense is going to keep this team in games like we saw this past Sunday Night Football game vs the Texans. - Bengals (0-2) ⬇️
Bengals looked great against the Chiefs they always seem to turn in up a notch when they play in their newly forged rivalry. Although I think the Bengals should’ve won this game I can’t dock them too much for the loss. With Higgins being out the Bengals need their WR2 to get back into the groove they had only a couple years ago. Bengals defense is playing at a higher level than expected. PFF has the Bengals as the #9 graded defense in the NFL even while losing some valuable pieces this offseason. - Chargers (2-0) ⬆️
Chargers are low on my list yes, I am sorry in advance but I need to see more from this Chargers team. Chargers have arguably the best Tackle duo in the league. PFF has Rashawn Slater graded as the #2 pass blocker in the league and Joe Alt at #14 (*Minimum of 20% snaps of 184). Justin Herbert has been - Raiders (1-1) ⬆️
Raiders get a great win vs a really good Ravens team. Raiders might be able to do some damage in their division if they can figure out how to beat the Chiefs and Chargers when they rematch. Raiders are graded #5 on PFF for their run defense so they have the pieces they need to be successful. Davante Adams looked amazing on his amazing 30 yard catch that only had a 6.1% chance of being completed per Next Gen Stats. - Jaguars (0-2) ⬇️
Jaguars are a good football team that couldn’t get it done against the Browns. QB Trevor Lawrence needs to find ways to win football games now that he is among the top paid QB’s in the league. The Jaguars play in a tough division and are already 0-2 so they will need to figure out a way to win games quickly. - Patriots (1-1) ⬆️
Patriots are a great defensive football team that can run the rock well. The biggest question mark is how far can this team go with Jacoby Brissett at the helm of this offense. Patriots can be involved in most games with their shut down run defense that ranks #6 in the entire league only allowing 83.0 rush yards a game. - Commanders (1-1) ⬆️
Commanders have something special in Jayden Daniels. Although he is very cautious with the ball I think he can be a great QB in this league. Daniels should take a bit more risk and getting his playmakers more involved to help win them more games. Commanders still are in the rebuild phase not sure how far this team can make it but they are trending in a good direction. - Dolphins (1-1) ⬇️
Dolphins are going to be in deep trouble without their starting QB Tua Tagovailoa. Fins made a great move by adding former Pro Bowl QB Tyler Huntley to their team. McDaniel’s will need to scheme up a versatile rushing attack with their new QB at the helm of this explosive offense with Devin Achane leading the way. - Titans (0-2) ⬇️
Right now the Titans are ranked #1 in yards allowed per game at 206.5 and #10 in rush yards allowed at 92.5 they face a extremely good Packers offense this week to test those rankings. Will Levis has made two detrimental mistakes for the Titans which ultimately caused them to lose both games. If Levis can minimize his mistakes and make smarter decisions with the rock the Titans could be a great football team. - Rams (0-2) ⬇️
Rams are injured, beat up, and depleted. Star receiver duo Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp both injured is going to cause a lot of problems for this team. Rams just got beat badly in Arizona and they need to find a way to win games before this season slips away from them. - Colts (0-2) ⬇️
Colts are a good football team but unfortunately the 2nd worst run defense in the NFL. The Colts are allowing 237.0 rush yards a game. Anthony Richardson faced a good Packers defense and he was struggling all day. Colts need to find a way to get Richardson easier throws and more time in the pocket to help them win more games. Richardson does need to make better decisions with the football if they want to be in contention for the division. - Broncos (0-2) ↔️
Denver has the 3rd worst pass offense according to PFF. Only the Titans and Panthers are worse, Bo Nix who I was very high on has looked less than impressive granted he is a rookie. Sean Payton may want to take this season as a learning experience stock up in the draft for some better weapons and more next season. Broncos defense has been doing well as they rank #9 in yards allowed with 277.5 only a 0.5 difference behind the Chicago Bears. - Giants (0-2) ↔️
Giants have one thing they can gloat about and that is their superstar receiver Malik Nabers who looked incredible last week vs the Commanders. Malik Nabers had 10 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown. The Giants need to get their act together and find a way to win football games and generate pressure with their pass rush. PFF has the Giants graded at #15 for their pass rush. - Panthers (0-2) ↔️
Panthers have allowed the 2nd most yards allowed and 1st most points allowed in the league through two games. The Panthers are tied at 2nd in the league for most giveaways. This team is looking to be in full rebuild mode especially since they traded star pass rusher Brian Burns. Hopefully Andy Dalton can light a flame under this team but right now it is looking like the Panthers are picking #1 in 2025.
