September 7th is right around the corner. Cheese, beer, and brats will soon fill the historic Lambeau field as the Packers take the field against their division rival the Detriot Lions. The season couldn’t come soon enough for the youngest team in the NFL. Speaking of young, the youngest but potentially the brightest receiver Matthew Golden has been making a name for himself this training camp. The twenty two year old receiver out of the University of Texas is doing all the right things this camp and is showing he could be Jordan Love’s best weapon. We predict Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden, Jayden Reed, Christian Watson (IR), Savion Williams, Dontayvion Wicks, and Mecole Hardman will make the team.
Safe to say that the Packers have plenty of depth at receiver so much they moved Bo Melton to corner back this past offseason. His brother was recently drafted in 2024 by the Arizona Cardinals and plays corner back as well. The Packers corner backs we project to stay on the roster are Keisean Nixon, Nate Hobbs, Carrington Valentine, Kalen King, Bo Melton, Corey Ballentine, and Micah Robinson.
Packers typically keep two Quarterbacks on the roster and we imagine that won’t change this year as Jordan Love and the infamous Malik Willis both make the team. Packers will more than likely send Sean Clifford to the practice squad as a scout. Moving right on to the running back room the Packers star Josh Jacobs will lead the group and Emmanuel Wilson, MarShawn Lloyd (if healthy) will make the team. Chris Brooks will likely make the practice squad as he was a great backup behind Wilson during the end of last year.
Now for one of the most underrated groups in the league the offensive line. Starting off with the man that just inked a four-year $88 million dollar extension, Zach Tom. We predict Zach Tom, Elgton Jenkins, Aaron Banks, Rasheed Walker, Sean Rhyan, Jordan Morgan, Jacob Monk, Anthony Belton, and Kadeem Telfort will make the 53.
The Packers’ defensive front looks primed to be one of the most versatile in the NFC this season. Headlined by Rashan Gary, the pass rush will once again be a key strength, with young talents like Brenton Cox Jr. and rookie Barryn Sorrell looking to carve out rotational roles on the edge. On the interior, Kenny Clark remains the anchor, while Karl Brooks and rookie Nazir Stackhouse bring a blend of power and quickness that should disrupt opposing offensive lines. Devonte Wyatt continues his steady rise as a starter, with Colby Wooden and rookie Warren Brinson providing depth and upside. Lukas Van Ness is poised for a breakout season, while Kingsley Enagbare, Collin Oliver, and Arron Mosby round out a deep group capable of creating mismatches all over the line.
At linebacker, Quay Walker is the clear leader and centerpiece of the unit, coming off a season where he showcased both speed and improved tackling consistency. Rookie Edgerrin Cooper brings an explosive, sideline-to-sideline presence that could make him an immediate contributor, while Isaiah Simmons offers unique versatility in both coverage and blitz packages. Isaiah McDuffie has proven to be a reliable depth option and special teams asset, and rookie Ty’Ron Hopper will look to earn his spot in the rotation with his quick first step and physical style of play.
Closing out our final unit on the team Kicker Brandon McManus, Punter Daniel Whelan, and Long Snapper Matt Orzech.
With a balanced mix of seasoned veterans, breakout candidates, and promising rookies, the 2025 Green Bay Packers roster looks primed to compete at a high level. Depth across key positions, an infusion of young talent, and a stable core of leaders give this team the flexibility to weather injuries and adapt to the grind of the season. As September 7th approaches, the Packers are ready to take the field at Lambeau with the youngest roster in the NFL—hungry, confident, and determined to make a deep playoff run.
